So I picked up a Meng USS Missouri a month or so ago and didn't notice it was a snap together kit. I thought wth I'll try it. It looks about what I thought it would look like. Plus the plastic is pre-colored so you don't have to paint it. Has anyone ever cut the tabs, glued it and puttied it? I'm not sure I want to bother because it feels like it's going to be a lot of work that may not be worth it. Just curious.

Yes! Snap kits as above are brilliant! I'm now looking for more 'SNAP KITS'! I've bought previously Arfix snap kits eg. VW Campervan nearly 1/24 scale as well!

Bandai does quit a lot of press together anymore. Their Star Wars line is principally that. I glue, because some pieces do come loose. Plus blending seams is easier when flued. I've also built their Godzilla that includes his skeleton. That needs glue. Some of the seams are very visible and the fit is not as tight.

Another model line that is press together is Blokees. More toy like, they still require assembly. But all press fit and this company has a surprising range of subjects; Pokemon, Ultraman , Transformers, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and more I can't think of. The primarily line are blind boxes. I just buy complete sets. Lots of fun, but I am running out of room.

Worked on this a bit tonight. I don't care for this kit. Feels like I'm playing with Legos.

Still looks quite good though. Lots of potential?
In the right hands I suppose! Haha. Was actually considering tossing it this morning but the detail is very nice. I'll probably work on this over time when I'm bored. I did glue the hull and deck. It just snaps together so easy I didn't consider about painting the sub assemblies until it was too late so this may be a hand brushed endeavor.
