Here is what I am going to build:

It's the F-84G Thunderjet by Tamiya. It was flown by Col. Joseph Davis Jr., commander of the 58th Fighter-Bomber Wing in 1953.:

This is for the Juniors category. :D And I hope to include a simple base/tarmac, if everything goes as planned. :p

Here are the technical details:

Armament: Six .50-cal. machine guns and eight 5-in. rockets or 2,000 lbs. of bombs, or napalm tanks
Engine: Allison J35 of 4,900 lbs. thrust
Maximum speed: 620 mph
Range: 1,485 miles
Ceiling: 43,240 ft.
Span: 36 ft. 5 in.
Length: 38 ft. 6 in.
Height: 12 ft. 7 in.
Weight: 15,227 lbs. loaded
Here is the USAF fact sheet where I got most of this information: http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/factsheets/factsheet_print.asp?fsID=293&page=3

Thanks,

austin that's a great looking kit you have there. Love the colors. It's a great break from all the mixed greys that you always see. Looking forward to it.

Oh! Awesome! I can't wait to see how you'll accomplish the NMF!

Good luck! ;D

Thanks guys! :D

I will hopefully post an update on the model tonight. (The cockpit is almost finished. :p)

Wow! You dry brushed that entire cockpit?

I love the instrument panel, there seems to be a slight glaze going on?

Great work Austin, keep it up!

Yes, I dry brushed it. ;D

Yes, there is a slight glaze on it, I haven't given it a matte coat yet.

Thanks!
