Who did Santa Find, and what did he bring you, doesn't have to be model related!

I got a really nice cordless 9 piece Dewalt tool set. Guess I need to get those honeydo projects done now.

    1/35 dragon "priest"

Looks great. Just the right about of weathering, wear and tear etc. Some models look like they were pulled out of a scrap yard. You hit the that balance with this project. Well done! Jeff

    1/35 Trumpeter SAM-6 AA

I think the missiles included in the kit are parade or training ones. I have seen the kit built and its pretty impressive. I have one in my stash and it looks good just in the box. Jeff

1/35 Canadian AVGP Grizzly aftermarket interior

Don't think there are any aftermarket interior sets for this kit yet. Here is a great selection of photos of the Grizz and Cougar. Inside and out. http://s87.beta.photobucket.com/user/ldshrecceboy/library/AVGP Hope it helps. Jeff

    M-26 Tractor & M15-A1 Trailer

Oh man that is a dog of a kit! If anyone has Shep Paines book on building military vehicles he used one of these to build a dragon wagon long before the Tamiya version came out. He pretty much had to scratch build the whole thing as none of the parts were really usable. He described the box...

Ideas on getting the spouse involved....

Reading this thread makes me think of George Costanza and his worlds collide theory. ;D My wife has no interest in participating in the hobby and I am okay with that. We have enough common interests so we do lots of stuff together. I have my models and she has her scrapbooking.

So... How big is your stash?

So... How big is your stash?

Hey Spud. She is 1/25th scale. I plan to start it in the new year. Its as old as I am (37) and is still a great kit. Has a full interior. Its one of the better 1/25th kits that Tamiya put out way back when. Jeff

So... How big is your stash?

Love these threads! My stash is easily half of what it was 2 months ago. It was out of control (for me) and it was affecting my desire to even building anything. It was just suffocating and depressing to look at. I am finding as I get older I just can't work around clutter which is odd as I...

    Trumpeter Grizzly (Early) WIP

I also have the Trumpeter Late Grizzly kit. One of the most noticable changes is the larger Michelin 325/85 R15 XML tires which came into use in 1998. Just for fun I took the tires from that kit and put them on my early(mid) kit. Thought you might like to see how different it makes the vehicle...

    Trumpeter Grizzly (Early) WIP

Its going pretty good. I got the marine drives finished up last night. They were very fiddly to put together. The parts are a bit warped with a fair bit of flash. I had to glue on one piece at a time, then let it set before I went to the next part. Even still I am not totally happy with how...

    Trumpeter Grizzly (Early) WIP

Thought I would share the latest project I am working on. As the title says its Trumpeters Canadian AVGP Grizzly (Early) This kits has its flaws as outlined in this very comprehensive review. I took extensive notes from it to build mine. Grizzly Review I won't go into all the flaws but the...

My 1st Tank... The Tamiya M41 Walker Bulldog.

Nice work there! This is a perfect kit for a beginner to start out with. In fact I just picked up one from the other day at the LHS for 12 bucks. I plan to build it with my 6 year old son. I built one a few years ago and the only thing I replaced was the .50 cal. The one in the kit is just...

    Model builders' ADD

I think my biggest problem is the internet. There is so much information out there that I freeze up about building anything. Its a great resource but sometimes its too much. I almost miss the days when I was a teenager (37 now) before the interweb when I built in blissful ignorance. I am...

    New car!

Don't forget he said its got 177 000 MILES on it. Thats in the ball park of 285 000 kms. So yeah its getting up there but it depends on how it was maintained etc.

Would you participate in a post contest group build?

Yeah so did I. Whoops! A shelf queen build would be a fantastic idea. I have a "couple" ie many that i could choose from. Jeff
