    Today's Adventure

On my way to work this morning I hit a slick spot on the highway, slid into the ditch and rolled my pickup. Considering it rolled twice it held up remarkably well. I am fine. I was taken to the hospital as a precaution and went through a lot of scans. No major injuries, just very sore.

    Supportive Wife

My wife had me clean knickknacks off a shelf to display my models. She has been super supportive of my return to this hobby. She actually wants to get a curio cabinet for me to fill up.

    Revell 1/48 F4U-4 Corsair

Making a start on this while also working on the Hawk and waiting for the Sopwith Camel to get here... I knew this was an older kit but I didn't realize it was 60 year old molds. Overall it has rather minor flash and decent details. It is the old kit that has folding wings and raising landing...

Hobby Boss 1/72 F4F-3 Wildcat COMPLETED

I got asked to put this kit together. It's an easy assembly kit so takes no time to slap together. Just working on paint. Should have it finished in a couple days.

Classic Airframes 1/48 Hawk III TRASHED

Well, a new adventure with a skill building kit. I knew going in this would be a tougher build being a short run kit but I wanted to put my feet to the fire. It is interesting for sure. Tons of filing and sanding. Instructions are vague, to say the least, and the part numbers in the instructions...

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk Ia COMPLETED

Got started on this kit on Saturday. It is a bit more challenging than the P40 was because this kit has serious flash issues and extremely prominent ejector pin marks. Quite a lot of sanding and trimming going on. Still, it is manageable.

    Airfix 1/72 P40B - COMPLETE

This is my first kit build in over 25 years, so be gentle! :D I am liking the Airfix kit, it is going together rather well. A couple spots that need some filler but nothing too major. The worst issue with the kit is that one of the tips on the prop was curled over. Not much I can do about...

    Back to the craft

After a 25 year break I'm picking up modelling once again. Got out of it in my mid-20's and got my interest back up lately. First kit I'm starting on is the Airfix 1/72 P40B Warhawk. A lot has changed over the years, I see. Model Master (which I loved before) is no more but I see quite a variety...
