I have wanted to do the Century Series, so decided to search them out, all 1/48 scale. Some seem pretty hard to get now (mainly the F-101. The F-102 is impossible for me to find going thru Scalemates marketplace and online searching). I know these are going to be some old style kits and a lot of work.

Trumpeter F-100C

Kitty Hawk F-101A/C

Hasewega F-104J JASDF

Hobby Boss F-105G

Trumpeter F-106A
I also have an F-106B coming that was an accident that I can't cancel :-(

Not doing the F-111since it is not normally part of the series, and not really a fighter.
(or the F-117 ;-)

Getting a complete set of these is on my bucket list too. I'm most of the way done actually but don;t feel bad about the sketchy kits, you have few options on many of them. Here's some inspiration :)

(incomplete of course)

The one's I've finished are:
F-100 (Trumpeter) was a pretty good kit, so much so I might buy the 1/32 version and do it again.
F-102 (Pro Modeler) also a decent kit although old.
F-104 (Kinetic) another nice kit, at least you have options here, Hasegawa has a few.
F-105 (Hobby Boss) the worst kit of the ones I've built, but not total crap at least.

I've got the Voodoo under construction, unfortunately Kitty Hawk is the only choice and it has serious issues, keep some putty handy, you get the A or the B and that is it.

I have the F-106 in the closet, also from Trumpeter, I'll start on it when I finally pull my boots up and finish the 101.

A really neat idea and yes it'll take some work to get good finished models out of all of them.

Edbert, those are great looking builds. Well done!

Thanks! I have a bad habit of hjijacking other people's threads, but digging up a pic of the Starfighter made me realize I never snapped any since it was done. I'm using that to incentivize myself to get the DSLR and lightbox out of storage and "do better".

I'll not post any of them here though :-)

Funny after so started this thread I found out where I am visiting, Portland area, has a smaller aviation museum in Hillsboro area. They also have bigger ones in Tillamook and McMinnville but this one has two F-104s, I don't know if I can squeeze a visit in but I sure want to

I have been thinking I would like to build the Century series the last few weeks since I saw and fell in love with The Hustler and then made the mental connection between all of these aircraft. I was thinking of buying the Hobby Boss F-105 next month and then spending the GDP of a small nation on all the Reskit aftermarket available for it but yesterday I remembered DBMK are bringing new tooling to market that will be more cost-effective. Great builds. Your F-104 looks how I would want the Eduard Bundesfighter I am starting today to look like. I will now be looking at the thread for yours I have now just noticed

I have my F-100, 101, 104, 105, and 106 now, all 1/48. My F-102 had to be shipped to my mother in law because I got it on eBay and the seller would not ship to AK. Also accidently bought an F-106B. Not sure when though I have a lot built up in stash now.
