HI GUYS well now my phantom build is finished what NEXT well i want to build that big 1/200 scale USS HORNET CV8 AS IVE BEEN ITCHIN to start on it ASAP so some info pics on the box top an the model itself an boy is it heavy an im jioning Kevin in building a big scale ship model hope he dont mind me mentioning him as his battleship is goin to be a cracker just hope i can do the same as ive never built a big plastic ship model before as yes several big r/c scratchbuild warship but not plastic model

AN INSTRUCTION BOOKLET which i will have to have a good study of before i start cuttin plastic

AN SOME 1/200 scale figures for the crew will need a lot more but got a lot of bills comin up soon so will have to use the dosh on them firstly

an i bought offline a reel of copperfoil tape sticky back to stick on the flight deck underside to solder to the 50 odd 2mm white leds for landing lights an inside the bridge S/S

an this is a mini unit 12v cut down unit to 3v to power the maybe 100 odd leds that will be lighting up the ship but not while hostile waters

AN the big hull an i will have to do the same as Kevin has done on his battleship drill out all the loads of port holes oh boy

AN YES Marten im lookin forward to fitting in all the wireing an yes its is gonna be a big model as i love big models so just got to get the missus to clear her stuff out of my shed so i can make up the shelfs for these models to fit on

No kidding, that is a very expensive kit!

I was not familiar with "I Love Kit" as a brand so I looked this up on Scalemates , was also wondering about the part-count.

I think they have something wrong on the site, it looks like this Hornet kit used to be CV-6. Huh? Are 6 & 8 that similar?

HI Edbert yes this is a fairly exspensive kit an i felt a bit guilty buyin it but my wife jen said if you want it get it as she went halves on it for me an was lucky to get it as hannants dont normally stock it so the girls on the computers say but a chap workin in the wherehouse said they had just one kit that some one ordered it but dint pick it up an pay for it so he sold it to me wow i was lucky an what a great missus to have
