my friend, i see what you are doing with that Iowa....... i think you have more skill than is needed! i guess it will take the same patience as doing 20 bofors guns and applying it to planks and deadeyes....I will be following with interest.
I was given a wooden model years ago. It was a disaster for me. I did not do any research, nor have the tools, skill, or experience for the project.

So the kit doesn't come with sails, but there is cloth available of course but i would have to take it to a tailor to run stitching in the right pattern. I was thinking about doing furled sails on the boom but still would have to get a seam done to attach the mast rings to make it look right. So I'll probably leave this one bare polesThat looks like fun.
