Not to give RR an aneurysm but trying to wrap this one up this week. I thought it would be a quick, fun little build. Instructions and diagrams have sucked. Engineering is meh. I finally found some decent pics- of other models tho. So what I thought was going to be done today is not going to be. I had some extra parts that the directions do not address at all but one last internet search and I both, figured out what to do with the parts and have extended the build. I started to weather the deck but I think I'm going to do this one pristine.

You know? That's pretty neat. I never thought of doing a sub.
I've always thought they were too simple- and it is. The most complicated thing is the lack of instructions! I bought a bunch of used kits off a lady whose brother had died- probably five of them I had no interest in but I thought I'd be nice and maybe when I was bored… the sub was one of those kits.

A while back someone on here did a Soviet sub in Dry Dock. If I remember rightly it was titled Cold War Relic. He did totally awesome weathering. Your sub just brought that back to my mind.

I'll have to look for that- it's a very cool idea!

Basically done. I'll hit it with a coat of varnish. Not impressed with the kit. I had to search a lot to determine where some of these parts went. Flag was two separate decals I was thinking of applying them to a piece of paper and then hanging that off a line- what do you boat guys usually do? In the end I skipped it. Obviously.
