Base white coat in place for the parts.

USS Odysseus struts
For the ISS Odysseus struts, I opted to leave the Klingon nacelles in the primer grey
Detail painting starts up.
Using a combination of acrylics and some inks to do some of the detail work in place of washes.
Where the ink went on a little heavy, I used an old brush dipped in water to work some of the excess ink away
The decals for the twins were drawn up on my computer and then printed onto clear decal paper.
I've also included markings from the JT Graphics NX-01 set and from the PL TOS Enterprise
A nice update!! I usually raid the big box hobby stores for stand ideas. You never know what you will find just walking about. Not to mention, the have wooden plaques for very cheap.
Small update on the build.
Got some of the detail painting finished on the upper hulls.
I also got the main part the base for the two done.
This is an 8" x 12" plywood plaque that I picked up from WalMart and gave a coat of flat black followed by a good coat of semi-gloss
Worked on enhancing/adding the panel lines to the hulls.
To do the engraved panel lines, I went in with a .5mm pencil and simply ran it through the lines.
For the lines on the smooth sections of the hulls, the pencil would simply rub off with handling. So, I used an ultra-fine Sharpie pen to draw those lines on the hull.
