I was having problems with my airbrush, it was pulsing and air bubbles in the cup. So stripped it completely down and cleaned everything thoroughly. Put some water through and still got the pulsing. A friend said it might be a tiny gap around the nozzle or cone and suggested putting a little bee's wax around them to create a seal.

Got this stuff and put a tiny dot on all threads and where the nozzle sits into the body. Woks perfectly. Pantherman

Have to admit, rather well served up here in Ottawa, besides some large Canadian online stores and the International eShops.
Two national level chain hobby shops in town, as well as a very well stocked Local Hobby Shop (my goto) and another that has been in business since the '50s!
RC has been taking over shelf space, but there are tons of kits and supplies to admire and check out.

Paints have been the difficult item the last few years.

The British supplied Whippets (as well as heavy tanks) to the Whites in the Russian Civil War, and when those lost to the Reds, some or all of the tanks eventually ended up in the Red Army.

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the Dutch Armour Association, a big event with a bunch of traders from not just the Netherlands but also Belgium, Germany and France. I didn't buy very much, though

Mostly books, and most of those (all but the leftmost two) were from the personal collection of Jochen Volert of Tankograd Publishing, who was selling them for €5 each regardless of what book it was, because apparently, his wife was starting to complain about his library The M3 light tank I had already bought second-hand from someone else, and I just took delivery of it yesterday because we were both at the event; the figure is Charles de Gaulle in 1940, and I won it in a raffle.

Finally, I also received the missing sprue for the M4A1 Sherman I wanted to build last month from the shop I bought the kit from earlier this year. Funny thing was, I was heading over to where someone had told me their stand was, and about halfway there, coming the other way, I see a man who I thought, but wasn't sure, is the shop's proprietor (I'm not great with faces). He sees me as well, changes course and says, "I've got that sprue for you." I've met him a few times before, but I didn't even know he knew which face goes with my name …

That CS8 book caught my eye!
It was a fun build of an interesting interwar vehicle.

It's all of sixteen pages plus thicker paper covers, and published in 1981 All it really does is describe and illustrate (with photo and line drawings) the different variants. I bought it because I already have two others in the series, No. 2 on the Leyland Retriever and No. 4 on the AEC Matador.

I've got the Roden stagger wing uc-43. I was looking at it yesterday and thinking about doing that instead of the Wingnut. Wingnut kit looks very involved and the Beechcraft looks a bit too simple. How does the D175 look?

You mean the I-153? Or the D17S?

Just looked in the box for the I -153 today. It looks much complex than the stagger wing kit. And the Roden SW kit has a lot of flash, just looking through the bags. The ICM kit looks very nice, but as I said more complex. And a thick instruction book.

I realized I should have bought one of the other stagger wing versions. The kit I bought has decals and schemes for post war, privately owned planes.
And if there is one thing I always struggle with, is bright, shinny paint. That's why I don't often do cars. I think the war years version would have suited me more.

Anyway, I really want to try and build it anyway. It's such a cool looking plane.

The beauty is you can't get in trouble over this one from the boss. See? My wife would have said hey what do you want for your birthday? Well I was thinking of a new model and she goes, you know what? Why don't you just go get whatever you want? Happy birthday! I saw this on sale for $11 so I ordered it along with a Dora P43 Lancer I've been wanting to complete my series. The savings disappeared though because they shipped it separately as the Dora is on back order. Anyway, old kit but it should be fun. I'll do the Israeli version.

Good luck with the Lindberg. I am very interested in how you get on with that one.

Thanks. I decided to see if I could put it together in one evening and I did. This is my second Lindberg kit so I knew a bit more of what to expect. This wasn't too bad. Prime it in the morning.

Nice! I'm going to scratch some straps as they have you just gluing accessories on the sides. I wasn't planning on putting much time in this kit but I can cut some lead strips and will probably not paint them.
