These are all new arrivals. I have opened the Se5a so it is not included in these pictures since these are the ones with sealed bags. Note one is still a sealed box, that one and the Gotha might be investments

I'm hoping I enjoy building these as much as I expect. I'm positive I will enjoy the plastic and the painting, still a bit concerned over rigging. But in the end, if I am not a fan and decide to stop after one or two; these things went from $120-150 in 2024 to ~$200 (or so) in 2025 to around $300 this year. Some are even more than that. So they are outpacing most mutual funds with retirement (hopefully) in my near future.
Talk about covering all the bases for retirement!
Short of cash? Need something to do?

I must say that those Wingnut Models kit boxes look like they're actually for boardgames, especially the ends.

My son is in the Army in mil intel, he wants to eventually go aviation, so I ordered the Academy 1/72 Apache Longbow and will build it for his birthday or Christmas. I wanted a larger one but cost and spotty availability sort of dictated that. Plus he won't have much space for models at his permanent duty station.

Almost done with the Black Panther. But my tools to do zimmerite are coming in shortly. I gots to learn how to do that so I guess I need a tank? Also, I'm sure the further I go along in this Hobby I am going to want to start scratch building a little bit??

At first I was using stuff from around the house... Then I collected a variety of materials I imagined I might need: the nice thing about having a bit at hand meant it was there for the spur of the moment decisions to build stuff.

Just arrived. Blew this year's budget out of the water so I feel it's fitting that it was for battleship kit's....... £460 poorer but really really happy. Pantherman

Wow! I just watched a video about the Pontos kit for HMS Hood. Dang Brother, I'm glad you love PE. That is just a ton and a half of work. Enjoyable work. But a lot of it. Enjoy
I like the Pontos kit's for the extra detail but they are very expensive, often 3 to 4 times the kit cost. The instructions are OK but you really do need some good reference photos of your build to work out what goes where. Pantherman
