Tracks for Cuckoo, paint for that as well as the Archer I've been building too, plus more generic paint and figures. The ancient Panzer II is for a nostalgic group build on another forum, while the K2 Black Panther is one I've had my eye on for a number of years, so I finally gave in :)

It's an ancient model that in no way is anywhere close to modern standards — which is exactly why I bought it,¹ and have already entirely put together this afternoon :)

¹ That, and because it cost all of €9.73, it being the cheapest old Tamiya tank kit I could find at the site where I bought it.

I (personally) find it interesting that they are not listed as A6M2, B5N, or a D3A. I am starting to look for alternative paint and markings, but I think 1941 was a bit more uniform in that regard than later years.

Great set. wish they had one in 1/72

Looks like the white stripes/colors/markings are from the Zuikaku

As far as colors go, the Kaga aircraft from the same taskforce had a bit more colorful markings using red and yellow for the Zero A6M

Another scheme from the Soryu carrier is blue stripes

For the "Type 97" I was particularly fond of this scheme for the leader/"cag?" plane

It had these cool yellow stripe patterns on the tail fin with silver washed with green wing tips along with the normal red markings

similar to this bit the fin stripes are yellow

The number 1 from above has a cool red tail scheme

p.s. the reason I had all those on hand, was because relevant to the original topic of what's new in my stash...

it is this IJN 1/72 Akagi bridge

I have a Tamiya 1/72 Zero A62m that has markings for the Akagi craft, but need the other two planes types in 1/72

Would love if they a 1/72 US aircraft carrier tower as well.

Although I have been eyeing the 1/72 USS Missouri turrets

Well a strange thing happened today. I just happened to park near the hobby store and some how this little devil parked on my back seat !!!!!!!!!

I think the additional set of transparent body panels is cool. Interchangeable so most of the hard work which we cover up is on view.

This will be built along with a small tractor that will be towing it.

And these are for a bucket list project!
Love the Tarhe parts. I'm waiting for the ICM release of the Erickson aircraft version S64 to come out at the end of the year. I worked at Erickson in Southern Oregon long ago and even experienced some heavy lift work on wind turbines in Palm Springs.
The ICM Tarhe was on sale at Sprue Brothers last weekend and I almost took advantage of it but I'm not much of a scratch builder so common sense prevailed. I would love to see yours being built when you get to it!

Picked out a couple from the hobby shop clearance section today.

I've always liked the old History Makers kits.

Pretty sure this is a KP 1/72 Skoda D.1, no box, wrong label (had a Sander-Roe SR 53 label), decals, or instructions, but for a $1.99 heck yeah. I love the old KP kits.
