Have to say it's catchy... Have started building a reference collection of sorts regarding the 'Flower Class' Corvettes.
Many built in Canada, one even named 'Pictou' after the shipbuilding town of my dad's childhood in Nova Scotia.

He said thst though the Germans were sinking them almost as fast as they were building them, many a cargo ship to set sail for England across the cold North Atlantic came from that shipyard, illuminated all night with the welding torches spraying the sky with sparks. My Gamps was hired on as paymaster, his first good job after the dirty thirties.

These boats were known as Park Ships

Went to Andy's today to get a can of Mr colors red oxide spray paint. I like it for priming undercoat where it's the appropriate undercoat. Anywhoo; they did not have said paint so I bought these two kits instead! I've been wanting to build an airacobra. This is my first 1/72 helicopter.

You want to hear something? I kind of complain to the guy that runs Andy's satellite store on Greenway. Every time I come in here you don't have any paints. You never stock them up. So I went to another hobby store near me to see if they had any paint namely primer and some clear out of spray cans and to see if they had any white X2. They had it all. Every paint fully stocked. I told the guy says man you got everything. Every time I go to Andy's he's always out of stock. He says you want to hear something funny? I had to buy all this stuff from Andy's!! Wtf?

That's too funny. Are you talking about the store in Glendale? What other hobby store are you talking about? I stop at hobby depot in Tempe a lot, mostly to pick up AK paint I'm out of but he gets some interesting used kits sometimes. That's where I got the mustang kit with the Allison engine from. There were a couple decent used deals at Andy's today but I need to clear some kits out first- Avondale store. Most of the time I don't think he discounts the used kits very much.

I go to Andy's store down on Greenway and he has his new store I think it's 99th Avenue south of I-10 a couple miles. I haven't been there yet. And the other hobby store by me is Hobby Bench. He said he had to buy paint from Andy's cuz he couldn't find it anywhere. And I was saying on a forum not too long ago that stuff is getting scarce? Or is it??

I use Ak laq. The store in tolleson is the front of a warehouse and he has a ton of paint. It's like a superstore compared to the store in Glendale. They have my Laq, Ak 3gen, Tamiya, Vallejo- I can't imagine they wouldn't have what you're looking for. Aisles of kits too. You should go check it out. I was blown away.

Guess where I'm headed real soon? I would go tomorrow but I want to head to Sportsman's Warehouse Saturday and check out their ammo. Going to head up Sunday to the desert shooting range and release some aggression. Before it gets too hot, you know?

Enjoy it while you can. I feel like that's going to disappear on us. They've made it more difficult to off road and I know they've shut down some ranges. We're getting californication.
