Enjoy it while you can. I feel like that's going to disappear on us. They've made it more difficult to off road and I know they've shut down some ranges. We're getting californication.
Man, I hope not. Trump was out here years ago when they were breaking ground at the semiconductor plant right below anthem. Apparently he was out where I go shooting above New River and they were thinking of proposing multiple sites for shooting and off-roading. They need to build that area up a little bit to make it just for weekenders. I was up there shooting a couple years ago before they cleaned them out but the homeless would go up there and just set up their broken down campers and motorhomes and proceed to completely trash the place. So it's going to be interesting what I find up there Sunday. I haven't been up there in at least probably 3 years

Yeah I'm down in NE corner of Mesa by superstition and Usery. I was riding my bike at an OR place off AJ and the last time I went someone was squatting with a junk RV. I don't understand how they can come out there and bust us for not having tags on dirt bikes but someone can squat and they let it go. Last year they passed a law that you have to take a safety course now and this year they passed that on "high pollution" days you will get ticketed for off roading.

Blame it on the libs. And the stolen election. I've been shooting at that spot for years and years man we get a libtard in office and all of a sudden you can't shoot if the fire restriction is too high and there's no clay target shooting that will pollute the ground even though there's millions and millions of rounds of ammunition in the ground out there. They're worried about clay pigeons nope can't do that. Nope can't do this can't do that. I feel for the kids nowadays. They're doing these street takeovers because they're bored. They want some damn excitement. Well you should build a huge place where they can go and do whatever the hell they want. You want to do NASCAR here's a track, right next door is the dirt track. Then we got the high jumps and the mud pits over there and over there was a huge concrete area where you can do donuts to your heart's content. You want a bonfire at night? No problem

I told my kids I learned how a car handled because we did all that stuff. We did donuts in empty parking lots, fishtailed on gravel roads or in the snow, took our cars down muddy roads. Lots of stupid stuff but learned boundaries doing so. I read a study that they found all these "safe" parks are causing kids to hurt themselves outside of the parks and do worse damage because they don't learn that jumping from 4' up causes you to hurt your ankle etc. so then the jump from 6' and break bones.

Very excited by this kit and the company behind it. It's going to be an expensive admiration as time goes by. 2 DBMK models released, 2 DBMK models ordered

An online shop had a number of different Riich Universal Carriers on sale this week, and as I've been wanting to build one (or a few) of those for some time, I took advantage of that :) The A13 was a lucky find there, as I've been looking on and off for one for a number of years, but they're sold out almost everywhere.

I'm debating whether to convert the Mk. I into either a Bren Carrier or a Scout Carrier, or to build it as intended … The MMG Carrier will become just that, though.
You most likely have this, and many more books on the subject. I love the illustrations!

...and the photos 🤭

At some point, this puppy will find its way to the bench...

Though it was one of my first builds, really enjoyed this Tamiya one.

I don't, in fact, have that book :) TBH, I find these Osprey books to be mainly useful if you don't know much of anything about the subject yet, not if you already have a decent library on it. The Resicast kit would probably need a bit of work to make it fit a Riich kit, as I'm guessing it's for the old Tamiya version.

Kinda thought you'd have lots of documentation, but just enough detail for me!
The ResiCast is a complete kit!

This just dropped through the letterbox:

It's second-hand, published in 2010 and now fairly hard to find, at least for a reasonable price, but I never bought it when it was new. The reason I wanted one now is because I've been going through a site to find photos of repurposed military vehicles on it, and that's exactly what this book is about. Here, for example, is the origin of the book's title:

Frituur means, approximately, "chip shop" (North Americans in the audience: see here :) ) without the fish, and is what the Austin K2 was used as in Vilvoorde, near Brussels, Belgium, in the 1970s. The 10F and 5F are probably the prices, in Belgian francs, for a large and small portion of chips (fries). The ones on the right-hand page were used as fire engines.
