Help Support Scale Model Addict:

I've seen one kicking around downtown Ann Arbor, still actively being used as a truck, with various tools and lumber in the back.
They are too damn cool.
Edit: Thanks for the belated birthday wishes too! I've been super spacey the last couple of weeks, lol.

Just got another thing in the mail. Ordered it almost a year ago "for my birthday" in April. It got about as held up as held up can be in customs.

I've never done a HiRes Bandai kit before... and I've never had a Gundam kit come with a mostly assembled frame either. :p

Latest 4 acquisitions (no photos)...

the Eduard F4F-3 in 1/48, which a friend picked up for me at Nationals. I'm excited to build this and compare it to other Wildcats I've built.
the Wave new-tool Melusine from the Maschinen Krieger genre. I'm excited to build this one, too, have a vignette pictured in my mind.
Airfix' B-25B in 1/72
Minicraft's P-38J in 1/48, the "Yippee!" boxing of the 5000th Lightning built

I got those last 2 in a damaged packaging sale. Damage to the boxes but contents intact

Let's bring some life back to an old thread.
I received three new kits this week.
1/35 Tamiya M8 Greyhound
1/48 Tamiya DeHavilland Mosquito
1/48 Academy SB2U-3 Vindicator.
Brings my stash to 25 kits.

I'm not usually a aircraft modeler but a fellow member (Gary) informed me of a pink Spitfire so it had to be built.

The Eagle was a childhood obsession so again, it had to be built.

I read the thread about the pink Spitfire.
I'm the opposite, I don't really do armor but have built the Jeep and will build the M8 Greyhound.
I also have a Batmobile kit and the USS Missouri in 1/350. The remaining kits are aircraft.

Looking forward to seeing your Spitfire, brother.
I'm probably not far behind you on buying another just to do the pink recon bird.

Sounds fun.
I'll check my hobby account funds. Then look for a comparable pink in Vallejo Air.
I have been researching the pink Spitfire and I am of the opinion that the colour will need to be home mixed. Some of the model examples I've seen are just a bit too pink and that's saying something from me.

I agree, I'm unable to find a comparable pink.

About 25 years ago I figured I'd need something to fill my time when I retired so I began collecting kits. I began building back when I was a pre-teen and have never really stopped - slowed down a lot when I got older and had responsibilities. Been building at about a rate of two kits per year for those 25 years of collecting - now, hopefully, I'll get more completed. This is my stash.

That is one hell of a stash. You will be busy for years to come.
