Next on the Bench

After looking over the kit and instructions this looks to be a busy build. Lots going on and lots of extras included photo-etched parts.
After I attempt the snow on the StuG diorama I can start on this new build. Although my extra figures for the StuG and won't be here until the 18th... bummer.

Gary, the mesh on the top grills is a real devil to do, lot's of swearing. Hope you fair better than I.

I like your 222 alot. It looks like a bear to work with.
I did get the grout for the snow. I'm ready to try it out.

Well, I have started this build.
And to set the bench in order I have an adult beverage and playing some Stivie Ray Vaughn on Spotify.

This build has gone really fast so far. The only issue is those mold lines. I guess this was made in 2007. I've read that older kits are subjected to some flaws like flash, ejection pin marks, etc.

I decided that this would look better with the wheels with a slight turn to them.

Well, the build is done... too quick. I still have weathering and decals to do. Then I'll start the motorcycle and petrol barrels, and the figures to paint.
Then I'll assemble the radiioman and a tent.

Note: I did not loose one part with this build!

Weathering — I feel like I'm missing something(s). I still need to put a dusty dull coat over it.
Is there anything I'm missing?

Now on to the motorcycle.
As with each diorama I attempt it becomes a learning experience. This one will be no different as this one will be a desert theme. So i had a thought of adding a Panzer III to the diorama.

2 More figures, a radio tent left to assemble and petrol barrels. And of course the base. I'm still watching YouTube videos on how-to and ideas.
I'd still like to incorporate a Panzer III or IV in the mix. I think that would look cool.
I might splurge on the palm trees for some quality ones.
