I really appreciate the feedback.

Well, I didn't wait long and started painting.
First I primed everything with a matte black car spraypaint

This shows the skin structure quite nicely

He's getting a green skin with a lighter underside, using Vallejo Game Color

Actually this projects was so much fun it went quicker than I expected.
I finished painting the raptor

I decided to give her red leather

and this is how it looked with just the base color applied
