After this I want to find the Forrestal CV 59 or Saratoga CV 60, which wont break the bank.
Those were the 2 carriers my dad was on back in the '60s.

Got some more done on the old gal. Think I might just gloss her up when I'm finished as I don't have many "new" builds. Pantherman

Nice progress, PM, and well done on cleaning up things like the ejector pin marks.
It's an old kit, a year older than I am, issued in 1963. For its time, it was a pretty spectacular kit.
I don't remember if it was released before or after Kennedy was assassinated, but the initial boxing was as PT-109. Revell re-issued it as several different subjects, and even a "McHale's Navy" version as the PT-73. The care you're giving it, you'll have a nice model when you've finished.
Best regards,
Brad

Thanks Brad, very much appreciated. I have enjoyed building the PT and am a little bit sad it's nearing completion. PM

Very nice results from a very bad kit!

Looks like there's enough interior detail to make opening up those windows an option.

Thanks Edbert, unfortunately you don't see too much of the interior unless you have a really good magnifier but I know it's there so I'm happy. Pantherman

Almost done now. I didn't like the lack of detail on the forward gun magazine so had a go at improving it. Not the best work but better than it was. Pantherman

Well I'm done with this build, not the best of kits from revell but kept me interested and I'm happy with the final finish.

Decided not to really weather it as I am liking the finish on this as it is. Well worth the money for a couple of months fun. Pantherman
