I started this and it will be a longer build simply because I tend to procrastinate with boats and I've had to cut back on my bench time. Sad. I had to sand "Revell" tm etc off the hull- do they not realize how much that irritates us??? Had to putty main seam. I drilled out all the port holes and sanded. Primed and am starting hull painting. I'm not doing the PE thing- maybe when I retire and have time to make a boat a big project I will but for now I'm keeping it simple. Not sure I enjoy all the extra details - does that make me more of an assembler?

That's a nice build. I had to get real good at using putty and sand paper. For some reason I had a lot of gaps to fill. Surely it wasn't from my inexperience with models right

I used putty to smooth it out, I had a lip on one side and I was afraid to sand it smooth. I thought I might sand through the plastic. It turned out decent enough when I was done.
However I bought another one that I can put together, hopefully avoiding the heavy cuts and gaps I created in the first one.
I've done that. A practice model and a final model!
Nice, one day I hope to build it as well.

I tried to say one day I want to build a larger scale version with all the extras. Something weird is going on with the site and I don't care for the app.
Funny when I first came to this forum I thought, "They need to get an app", now they have one and I don't like it!
Got that book. It's great
They also have a 1/200 scale Arizona model
Dunno if you are running in Chrome, but you can essentially run the site "as a stand-alone app in its own browser" by going to the Chrome menu and ( in your phone at least , I think I did similar in my desktop computer) select 'add to home screen'.
Then you can launch it from its own icon, separate from your main Chrome application, in its own instance of Chrome.
I think it's a fun kit and you could probably add more detail if you wanted. I was happy with the kits detail but I'm not a "rivet counter."
