pak 40 AT Gun

My pleasure, I plan to try some of the techniques on my own when I starting adding figures.

the figures look good as lonng as your happy buddy thats all that matters..and they look good around the pak

Got a wee idea for a dio. Dont know weather to do it on a street or field... Any input? 20130129_180936_zpsc8907add.jpg 20130129_180956_zps14e34a0e.jpg 20130129_181006_zps7262ce88.jpg

That really is shaping up nicely mate.

Nice camo on the pak and the figures are not that bad either. You might not think they are great but just keep trying to paint figures you will see that they get better over time. I have spend years trying to pop out a decent painted figure and I have seen a lot of progress compared with my first figures to what I paint now.
I always keep the wise words of my grandfather in my mind in these cases. He used to say "Even Rembrandt started out with a pencil at one time"

Nice idea for a dio. Compact. already some basic rules of diobuilding there. So yeah I'm looking forward to the rest.

Wow thanks man. Thats amazing words from your grandpa. I have a few more figures 2 do so ill play with them and see what outcome i can get. Ill be trying diffrent things on them see what works and what doesnt. Very incouraging words from averyone on here. Im so glad i joined and im glad you are enjoying my build :)

Thats all for now but if anyone has any idea how to build a hedge please let me know.

First of all this looks AWESOME! and the base is a great depiction of Normandy.I've a suggestion for ya mate, why not make a stonewall with some hedgerow draped over it,look at some pics of the Normandy farmland for some ideas.Keep it coming this is some nice work!

Taking chriss67 advice iv went for a stonewall. iv built it with clay so need 2 wait till it drys then i can paint it. thanks again chriss67 this looks so much better :) 20130201_155102_zps91b4be7d.jpg 20130201_155021_zps471e03a7.jpg

Nice job on this gun man, really cool looking. I watched a guy on you tube build one of these and he made his paint looked like it was chipped in order to make it look like it had been in the field for awhile. After priming his model, he sprayed painted it black. After it dried, he then sprayed it with hair spray. When he did that, I was like what in the world are you doing..LOL...I kept watching and he began to put on the regular color he wanted for his model. He then took an old paint brush and began dabbing the bristles in various areas. Doing this caused the paint to rub off in small portions and making it looked like chipped paint. It was pretty cool. I just thought about sharing that with you in case you ever wanted to do chipped paint on another diorama project. If you want to watch some videos about the person I am talking about, his name is qdc748 on you tube. He is pretty cool with his models.

the base is shaping up nicely! one word of advice, whatever material you are using for the tall grass, you should cut the fibers in varying lengths to make it look more natural!

Finally got round to finishing this. Took a little longer than i thought but i think it looks pritty good :) what u think guys?
