For the age off them they are still crisply moulded. Not had much trouble with the seams at all..... So far :)

Hey ridgers22 I too am currently tinkering with one of these exact same PAK 40 kits.

I am waiting on some things to finish up my 1/72 jagdtiger, namely varnish and paints on order, and am going to fill my time with this anti-tank gun. I am going to be starting a Sdkfz 251 half-track with my 8yr old and plan on towing this PAK 40 behind it in a diorama of some sorts.

I will be watching this one as I am still new/returning to the hobby and look for any tips or tricks.

Great work so far.

Wow i love the fact we are building the same kit. Not sure what dio im making yet. Ill be watching your one too :)

Still not sure what camo im going for yet but will be thinking about it over the next few days

I too am still thinking on paint scheme, debating on the Afrika yellow or the standard German Grey. Look forward to seeing what you come up with. Well back to work on mine... Got a bit more work to do to catch up to ya.

Looking good, still remember the very first armor kit I ever did at about 11 - 12 years old (well sort of remember) I believe it was like a 7 pounder (2 pounder, 1/4 pounder ;D .... whatever) or something like that it came with the gun, and a small bass with a section of fence and a couple of rounds of ammo, and a couple of spent shells. That was when I became enamored with armor modeling, I was hooked.

Looking forward to your progress.

Ah yes the Good ol Tamiya Pak40 i built one many moos ago,

hey hook1169 im thinking of more normandy scheme for my one. maybe do a little normandy field dio or something. found some intresting camo on google ;D

Primed and base coated the gun and the flesh of the figures. Still pondering over the final camo pattern but i have a little idea in my head :) 20130121_150050_zps40b04e70.jpg 20130121_150031_zps0056c093.jpg 20130121_150011_zps23018cb2.jpg
