As you know, I decided to pause the CWT30 build and start a new project. The soft Gencko plastic was driven me nuts. So, I opened a Tamiya's kit box and started to build it right away.

Sorry if I didn't post the pictures on the fly, those are past pictures taken during the build. Enjoy it!

It's always a pleasure to start a Tamiya's kit. You just know what will find inside the box.

The build started straightforward as you would expect

The wheels were glued and sanded. It's amazing how a 1970 kit could be so easy to build. The 2022 Gencko just received too many puty to look okay..

The chassis was molded in just one piece. But being honest, it looks so good as 2022 Gecko one. How could this be possible?

The gecko one took so much work... Due to its soft plastic and thin pieces, broken in multiple parts, it took some effort to be build straight.

Moving on, the chassis received some details

And the wheels were glued together.

Using a small square to check wheel alingment.

A dry fit to check the things up

Starting the interior, scraping off the roof details to replace it with Eduard's Photoetched parts.

It was late and I decided to move on and start building the engine compartment. I did not take any pictures during the process, sorry.
