SSSSSSSSSSooooooooooooo Phase 2.0

Wha-zit-all-about-then?

PIX

Split and tapered a 1" PVC tube, hot glued it to me wine bottle gift tube, gave it a top and a two sides, tape just for drying purposes

Picture%2520994-002.jpg

Rough cleaned edges, will fill later

Picture%2520999.jpg

Picture%25201001.jpg

used same PVC pipe to make 4 front inside corner pieces

Picture%25201007.jpg

Made inside corner supports

Picture%25201015.jpg

Rough lined the inside

Picture%25201017.jpg

Added another layer, will be filled and finished later when i've finalized the internals final positions

Picture%25201026.jpg

Shaped the back edge of the engine tube

Picture%25201028.jpg

Engine internals, including, Mouth wash bottle cap, laundry detergent cap, cheap $4 lantern from local supermarket, manditory Vodka bottle pouring spout, industrial paper roll end thingies, desktop pen and pencil holder and my old faithful swimming pool pump accesories.

Picture%25201031.jpg

First light test, with everything dryfit.

Picture%25201038.jpg

Rear nozzle basic components

Picture%25201045.jpg

Light fittings assembled

Picture%25201054.jpg

Lantern reflectors and voddy pouring things in position

Picture%25201056.jpg

Let there be light

Picture%25201059.jpg

Most of the internals are shaped and cleaned up, but now they require details and paint.
Still plenty more to do, might get another update in before the end of the weekend so stay tuned

Re: NYLON GAG MK 1?

Definitely agree with the MacGyver comment.
This is excellent use of what you have on hand

Re: NYLON GAG MK 2.0?

Evenin Shakers'n'makers,

The video was taken to show the guy at work, who helped me with the wiring, what it was all about.

It was taken on my IPod so that explains the crappy quality. I Will try to post some short video updates but don't expect anything like the content or quality of the rest of you guys.

Progress has been painfully slow the last few weeks as i have had some trouble finalising the design of the engine intakes but i pushed thru and am satisfied with the results.

So with out further waffel,

PIX

This is the paper roll thingy cut out on the back with support rods glued in position.

Picture%2520936-008.jpg

This is the inside of the mouth wash bottle cap with added half round styrene and some other greeblie whotsits, these will go inside the front of the intake tube assembly on the back of the paper roll thingy

Picture%2520937-008.jpg

Everything assembled and glued into the front intake tube.

Picture%2520938-008.jpg

Mmmmmmmmmmmm primer.

Picture%2520942-008.jpg

These mouthwash bottle caps are for the very front of the intake tube on the outside, this is just a dry fit with the deflector vanes in position

Picture%2520945-008.jpg

The support rods were shortened and the deflector vanes glued and taped in position

Picture%2520950-007.jpg

Picture%2520953-009.jpg

Then constructed the outside deflectors to tie it all together and give a real tunnel effect, this took friggin forever to get right

Picture%2520958-008.jpg

Picture%2520960-007.jpg

With the tape removed the corners sanded it was still a bit rough, so i added a bit of 90 degree angle styrene on the corners but forgot to take a picture

Picture%2520966-005.jpg

And finally another Mmmmmmmmmmmmm primer moment

Picture%2520970-005.jpg

Picture%2520968-005.jpg

Now i'm working on finishing the outer fairing tubes for the engines

But thats for another day

Comments welcome and appreciated
