Felt it was time to begin work on the model series that inspired me to take up the hobby again: Maschinen Krieger.

Nice start, Ian! I have this one in my stash, so I'm eager to follow your build. MaK is a lot of fun, isn't it?

Awesome! Will be watching. Be careful, once you get a taste of the Ma.K its hard to stop!

I'm attending this WIP thread.
Nice clear photography too 8)

Thanks everyone, great to have your support. Hoping to get back to this tomorrow!

A little more progress on this guy. Almost at a priming stage, and now trying to figure out how many sections to paint it in.

I love the pose--Disco MaK! :D

I would separate the torso and limbs for painting, it makes it easier to reach areas like the panels under the arms. That is a great thing about the way MaK suit kits are engineered, they can be disassembled and assembled at will.

Another great thing about them is that most of the seams are supposed to be there, so you don't have to worry about hiding them.

@the Baron

As suggested I'll be handling both legs as one piece, torso, and then each arm. The helmet + face + clear screen will also be separate. And then whatever panels are left.

Nice progress on the priming!

Yeah, I took my Raptor apart and re-assembled it several times during painting. Apart for base colors, to get coverage, assembled for the camo pattern, like a suit might have been painted in the field, then apart again for washes/weathering/detailing. I did eventually glue the power hoses in place, though, to keep them from moving too much.
