Hi sma forum.

For the comp i'll be scratch building a gecko from mgs 4.

Built the head out of plastic from some dvd holders and some little greebles here and there.
Looks a little busted up at the moment but it will get better.

That looks nice so far. Why aren't you using styrene sheets btw? Can you glue that DVD case with plastic cement as well or do you have to use super glue for it?

Elend, I'm pretty sure a CD case is poly-styrene and glues up with normal liquid modeling cement.

elend: Thanks,i'm using the dvd plastic because i like the thickness of it,it has rough texture on the one side and i have loads of them that my brother gave me.
I'm not sure if plastic cement would work,i think it would,ive always just used superglue.

Hey beork thanks,good seing you here,ha yeah probably by the end of the week.


Alittle done last night.
Bulked up the back,cut up some white squiggy block i had into shapes and placed them at the sides as the gun holders,inclosed the underneath area and used some thin bits from the bits box and a zip for the middle part of the body.

Next the middle leg part.

Cheers scott,i was at first going to just use the videos on my playstation but you cant really pause the videos very well, so i found the videos on youtube and took screen shots of the geckos from all different angles.
I'll put the videos on just to give the non game players an idea what i'm building.
