Started on this build this morning.
I started on the ocean scene using the hull as a guide.

First set of waves is done. This will sit overnight and then there will be smaller waves in between these.

This is the technique I’m using for the ocean.

I got the first coat of primer then USN Sea Blue on the foil. I ripped the foil gluing it down but I think I can cover it when I do the sea foam with acrylic medium and cotton.





I am also working on the hull of the ship.

Next coat of paint (Tamiya Clear Blue) is done.

I like it. Might try some waves/beech with my D-day build. You have inspired me. Pantherman

Also I just noticed this kit does not have a completed bridge structure on it. What you see below is all there is.

Thanks Gary. I may attempt some rust on it with some dry brushing. I have Testors rust color enamel. I will give it a try.

The ship is, for the most part, done. Need to finish decals and signal flags. Currently working on the railing around the deck.
Some smaller details like the cable from crane to LCV will be done after. Then touch up paint and matte clear coat.
