The body for my next salt pounder came today, very nice print, some ripples in the top deck but they will sand out easy, Picked out tires, now i need to see if i have enough aluminum to make the wheels. The bug is long enough i may not have to use the trans axle even with the 12 cyl Cammer. I will be collecting parts for this one for a month, if your interested stay tuned, it looks like i may have to buy another one and build a drag strip weeny roaster show car next. 🤪

Parts have arrived for the lightning bug, Texas customs makes some really sweet parts, the detail is great everything is solid no hollow crap. 1. injected 12 cyl cammer 3. sets of brakes, 2. transfer cases, i needed to see what one would work the best, and a few 9in ford rears, 2. will be needed being this is going to be 4WD.

Still waiting for the little heat wave to end so i can paint the 25 T, so its one to the bug. Layed out a center line and wheel base and wheel width so now i know how much room i dont have, 🤣 the transfer case next to the seat wont be used , the front diff will be cut and rebuilt to make room for the brake cv joint and wheel on the right side. I need the wheels to do the build so a new holder was made to hold the wheel so the back can be surfaced and center drilled. the wheels are all the same dia, the fronts are smaller gage o rings with the same id as the backs.
