I don't want the attention!!!

Isn't it the Christmas season??? Shouldn't all the attention be on this "SecretSanta" fellow????

Well, if the pressure is too much for you I'm sure you could find someone else to build it. :)

I think the wheels are awesome. If I knew your address I would go grab them off your porch lol. Only to make sure they good enough for you of course.

Well, TRM, Scratch, and Ken aren't really that into modern armor.... That and they'd rather paint it then build it. I'm probably on my own....

Right....

You'd probably slap 'em on that Hummer of yours and call it an Special Forces Moster Truck or something....

I would never do something like that. I am giving serious thought to ordering a set of my own.

You can order the Kit, the Wheels, and the Eduard Interior set all at the same time. Save yourself some shipping charges!!! ;D

I really like the engine set by real models. Their interior set is sweet too. I'm going to wait till after Christmas and order a bunch of stuff based on what my wife gets me. But if I had to pick I'd go for the engine and wheels first.

Not much of an modern armor guy... But I have seen this kit on a couple of events and I followed the built of a good friend of mine and I was impressed. That certainly is a huge beast. Looking forward to your work on it.

With friendly greetz

If you want, I can write a nice letter for your wife explaining exactly what she should get you for this thing and where to order it from... hahahaha

Hey Adam,

This should be a Kool build and I've heard a lot good stuff about this kit. I see you got the rubber covered! ;D

Hey Adam...again ::)

Forgot to include these inspirational photos from Gulf War 2 from 2003

....Now if someone only made a 1/35th scale MiG-25 Foxbat!! :p

What do the guys with the little hand shovels think that they are going to do. Oh wait I'm having flashbacks to my time in nevermind you just do what your told. Sometimes I really dont miss it. :)

Alrighty folks, pics of the wheels, kit and resin, have been taken. I'll have pics up shortly.

Adam

Alrighty folks. Here is the long awaited review of the Def Model Resin Wheels compared to the Kit Wheels.

The Kit wheels are nice. Raised Details is nice, but there is a seam line:

and this is the only thing I don't like. The resin pouring block right in the middle of the tread. I'm going to have to figure out how the heck to remove that one...

Resin Tractor vs Kit:
Nice thing with the resin is that all 8 wheels have a different "bulge point" so that each wheels is contacting the surface at a different spot on the tire.

Trailer wheels:
I actually like the smaller detail on the resin ones. They seem more "scale" to me.

My overall impression is that these are not "copies" of the kit wheels. There are some really nice fine details you wont get with the kit. Like I said, I only see one downside, that is the pouring block on the resin wheel. Other than that they are extremely nice. Worth the $100, for me yes. For you, up to you to decide.

Build begins tomorrow!!!

The resin wheels look great Adam. I was suprised at how nice the kit wheels looked and then you see the picture of the two treads side by side. No comparison, the tread on the resin ones is much deeper and more crisp. Very expensive for tire, but I think worth it. Thanks for the comparison.
