Product update: The portable rotary sander (see my post from March 13, as I can't tell if I quoted it properly) has worked flawlessly.

My Foredom is headed back out to the garage.

Found this ca glue. The blue tabs on the side are squeezed and it pushes a dollop of glue to the tip. I've found this to be a great dispenser. It's loctite brand.

Inside is a 3-gramme regular tube of superglue :) If you make sure to wipe the nozzle every time before you put the cap back on, I found these to work quite well, though. Part of that is because when you put it away, it stands with the nozzle up, so glue drains out of it and doesn't clog it up as easily.

Found this old thread and thought I would add to it.

I just got this lot for under £5 on a well known foreign site. Didn't expect any of it to be much good but got a nice surprise, it's all good.

Nice little drill, light, and just powerful enough for drilling plastic with the smallest of bits.

Box of 50 pin vice bits, all of which seem surprisingly sharp.

And my absolute favourite is the silicone tiped tweezers. Hangs onto PE like velcro. I have ordered another couple. Pantherman

Temu, sometimes a long delivery but worth the saving. The drill is not very powerful but I want it for drilling fine hole's through the hull of the Bismarck and it is perfect for doing that. I did have to fit a different chunk as the one it came with was just a fraction too small for my micro drill set. Pantherman

do you use reverse clips for?
Hollow rectangular or cylindrical stowage for example... boxes and barrels. Small parts that can be held from inside, leaving outside surface free to paint.

(Haven't cleaned up the seams of this duffel bag, but you get the idea)

Pretty sure other uses will come up. 🤔

That's a pretty tall woman by most of the world's standards. Here in the Netherlands, seeing a (young(ish)) woman 1.80 m tall is nothing extraordinary, but they'd be giants in many other countries.

WHAT about england Jakko as my jen is about 5 ft -8inches so is she small or a giant ? compeared to other countries ?

Even today, according to the CDC, average American male is 5'-9"!
I have to say I'm surprised, maybe because I've lived my entire life in Texas where everything is bigger?

I'm over 60, and am exactly 6-foot tall (used to be almost 6-1 when young) and of my five closest friends I'm the shortest, tallest is 6foot 7inches, of course that is not "normal" even in Texas :-)

LOL...I assumed it was a millennial/androgynous :-)
I think it's a female silhouette, given the hips are about as wide as the shoulders :)

But yeah, it is a 6-foot height, which was a fairly tall man in 1940, even for US servicemen.
According to a quick search, average height for American men in 1940 was 5′9″, or 176 cm.

See here :) In 2024, average height for women in the UK was 162.1 cm; 5′8″ is … erm … 173 cm, so she's about 11 cm (or to you: four inches) above average.

I'm not sure about average height for us man being 5'9". That seems off -of my memory can be trusted.

Tried some new super glue. Quick bonding, like all other super glues. Here is what makes it worth mentioning.
1. Looking at the bottle, see the blue on each side
2 Squeeze them to dispense the glue
3 A drop at a time, not a runny, uncontrolled wash of glue

It acts very much like the Mercury Adhesive, which is a superb product. I learned about reading this Forum.

Just a heads up

Cosmetic foam makeup removers. Dirt cheap. Oh my do they work good on taking off washes. Plus the added bonus when it gets dirty you just take your exacto and shave off the dirty part and it's clean again. You can do a whole model with one sponge

Anyone have experience with a printer like this?
Looks like a basic filament printer from what I could see. The tracks were commercially purchased, he just printed the bases to mount them to in small (ish) sections.
