Hello from Canada!

Hi All,
I just signed up to SMA. I'm getting back into model building after about a 15 year hiatus.
I am a lover of sci-fi and sci-fi modelling.
I just recently ordered the fine molds 1/48 scale Tie Fighter and X-Wing, so I will be posting progress on those as I go.
After watching Grendels videos of his Tie Fighter, I have a lot to live up to!! I'm not lighting mine though... for I don't know how to, which is something I hope the members of this site will be willing to help me with.

Hello and Welcome!

There is a lighting tutorial on this site here:

Most here are nice and friendly, so ask questions as they come up.

If you want to start lighting kits, get something really easy to start with. Like a viper from Battlestar Galactica

Then work your way up to the harder kits. I would not start with that Tie fighter.

I watched your tie fighter series a couple of weeks ago, and saw how tight the spaces were with the 1/48 scale... So yeah, I decided not to try my hand at that particular model.
I really enjoy your videos, very informative!!
Have you seen / built the Finemolds 1/48 Xwing model yet? I have that one of the shelf as well, and was thinking I might try to light the engines and cockpit.

Need to buy the equipment first, play / learn and blow a few bulbs before I get to the XWing though
