Not an update in any way unfortunately but something done of you may find interesting. This the blue print of the 32" that the hasbro is sitting on. Close as I'm ever going to get to build a studio scale falcon....

That actually isn't that far off and versus the cost of one from MR the Hasbro plus a ton of work and if you luck out and get the aftermarket stuff.. To me anyways I think this one is better, because you can make it your ship and keep it as close as you want or make it your own bucket of bolts....thanx for the info..

Thanks guys, started on the side walls while I wait for my LED's to turn up. Al the rear has been chopped off:

Then took on the challenge of removing the walls to allow the resin new ones to sit back slightly:

Then marked a line where I'd like the new walls to sit:

Then glued a strip of styrene so the new walls have something to butt up against:

Lol thanks guys, the glue is 2 part epoxy glue and it works great:

I tried teh 2-part epoxy and it seems that when it's dry it peels off with no problem. I was wondering if you used anything harsher that gave it a bit more bite other then sanding the surface a bit.

Thanks guys. And LS the glue I'm using is holding strong, The styrene I glued on is staying on also....although it has creaked and cracked while I've been handling it. Ok Small update, I've removed all the side walls and dry fitted the new side walls for depth. Just the mandibles to do now.....

What I like about doing this is the fact that the panels that over hang the new side walls have become slightly damaged, they are thinned and are generally slightly battered. And you look at the 5ft Falcon that is quite evident. Basically I'm saying this gives it character and it's not all fresh out of the box, everyone's version will be slightly different, which is a very good thing.

Watch out for those flying blades. I 'normal' utility knife might work good on this hunk of junk.
