...and a version from Cape Bon, Tunisia, where the last Axis troops in North Africa surrendered, after which the Allies would turn their attention to Sicily and the "soft underbelly of the Reich"! — Churchill had coined the phrase, but it turned out to be 'not so soft' in the end.

Next steps for me are to wash the sprues, get familiar with the downloaded instructions, and organize the build... the weekend and the GB are coming fast!

With everything else on the bench of late, and the SKUA patiently waiting for the AB treatment, I haven't researched this one ahead of time.

So what's the end game for a group build? I know there's probably two rules and the third one is have fun. But why? Does the winner get to be called a glue member?

... fun is pretty much it, along with the opportunity to work on similar builds, face similar issues, pick brains, get inspiration, and enjoy the accomplishment!
Not to mention the extra motivation: "Sorry honey, another half hour, the guys on the GB are depending on me to see how this will turn out!"
