I finished this little guy yesterday and wanted to share with you. It was
quick OOB build because i don't have much time (studying). I finished it
in like 4-5 days.

I took this one photo with my phone, and i will make more when i get my
camera back (by end of the week i hope).

There are some mistakes but it was fun build.

Story behind:
I went to my LHS to buy colors, but you know that feeling when you
see all those models - you just have to buy something. So to please my
snobism i bought cheapest thing i liked. That's how i ended up with this
Mustang.

Cheers!

Made a gem out of something cheap then mate. I love the weathering, nice to see a mustang dirtied up. Even more impressive that it's 1/72 scale.

Thats a beautiful little build !! ,a nicely weathered metal finish too , what did you use for the metal ? Hurry up with more pics ...please ;D

Chris.

I am glad you like it guys. It's unusual for a Mustang to be that dirty but
this one just came back from a long escort mission over Europe. ;D

Chris - for metal finish i use nail art color (believe it or not). It is made by
random Chinese company called Sina and it's called Air Brush Ink - Pearl Silver.
It is pre-thinned for airbrush, it needs a lot of pressure to go through airbrush
(3-3.5bar/40-50psi) and has very bad coverage but i like that because i can
control transparency. I bought it because Revell colors kept ruining my life and
i had no alternative in my town. Sry for writing a novel ;D

More images coming up. My gf is using my camera...

EDIT: If anyone is interested i found the colors "catalog"

Cheers!

Thanks for that ,Nail paint is handy stuff ,especially for hard to get colours .But I would suggest it needs further thinning if you have to use 40psi to spray it . Either that or your AB is clogged up a bit and not letting paint through properly ? ....But nice finish all the same :)

Chris.

When i use color that is pre-thinned (like this one) i usually don't bother with thinning
it - it's a bad practice i know, but i am lazy. I usualy keep increasing pressure until i hear
my compressor say: "THIS IS SPARTAAAA!!!" ;D

Ok guys, i finally got my camera back so like promised I made few more shots of this little plane.

Thanks ronrod and JMac! Andie i don't speak russian, i understand some of it though (i understood what you said ;D ). Your Mustang looks good, i like it. How did you do the silver finish (which paint is that) - it looks very nice? That kit looks same as Academy - who produces it?

Or in my language: Свиђа ми се твој Мустанг, лепо урађено. Ко га производи?
But lets keep it in english (although my english is not the best in the world).

Cheers.
