'72 Toyota Celica 1600GT - Aoshima

Who was that with the PE set of keys? I can't find any online. I can still dress up the interior on this kit. I bought four Aoshima kits on impulse not knowing they were curbside. Is there a way to tell from the box?

Anyway, gives me more time to practice on my body finishes. I NEED AN AIRBRUSH! I'm tired of buying a new rattle can every build and not using the whole thing, not leaving enough for another for another build leaving but too much to just toss.
Airbrush will be a big help, thin coats, has great coverage, and makes the detail pop. Many, many advantages.

The learning curve is quicker with a single action. I have used both, and prefer the single action. Clean-up is easier, shooting lacquer thinner through it.

Thanks for this. Is there any difference in technique between siphon and gravity fed brushes?

So I had some issues with the panel lines and made a mess. I just cant get that capillary action I want. Maybe I could have re-scribed the lines after color  . I cleaned it the best I could and put on a clear coat to seal. But I neglected the decals.

Hard to see in the pic, but I was afraid the clear was not smooth enough for the decals so I wet sanded the body.

Should I go ahead with decals now?

After wet sanding I attempted to add some detail to the body. Probably used the wrong glue for the PE on the paint. And my Vallejo transparent orange wasn't very.

Foil went down well. I used Hasegawa Mirror Finish. I find it more stretchy and sticky then BMF. But I didn't want to cut the curve under the windows, so I tried Molotow. Made a mess.
