1/7200 Allegiance-class Heavy Star Destroyer

Next milestone is getting the bridge in place :D

I had access to the laser cutter during grad school and before I left I made sure to cut a lot of stock of parts. On deck I still have a couple 10k sets of parts as well as a 4222 Victory-class Star Destroyer and 1/2256 Interdictor. :p

Made some 3D parts for the Allegiance project. Since these are duplicated across the ship I figured this was the best approach.

Very nice! Fun to see so many different methods and technologies coming together to make this a reality.

If you scale the weapons up to 2256th, I'll greedily take a set or two!
Those would be amazing for super-detailing the Venator- The sphere shaped guns would rock particularly along the sidewalls!

Got my prints a while back..haven't had time to work on it. Go figure. HOWEVER!

This project will probably end up being the most design heavy base I’ll have done. The client and I discussed doing a blueprint style laser cutting/etching into blue plastic with some tech specs included.

Here’s what I came up with:

Once I get this into the laser cutter, it will look more like this:

I’m planning on using clear inserts to support the model, instead of the original plan to use magnets and clear rod. It’s a big piece of plastic, for sure since the actual length of model is represented in full on the base.

OK IF Y'ALL WANT TURRETS. Four sized available. Working on a 5mm turret but it's TINY.

I dunno....maybe the 1cm. I'm going to use 5mm on the Allegiance, which is supposed to be 1/7200 but I think it's really only slightly larger than if not 1/4222....

Added all the turrets, built in some structural support in the engine area, and began the bridge assembly.
