calling this one done tonight. did some rigging, touched up here and there, and mounted on the kit stand. she will take her place on the shelf next to the 1/350 type 076. ended up freelancing some stuff on this one to spice up what was a very "basic" motorized kit. so now on the "wood" workbench i have the kit from 1982 that kicked my ass when i was young. im going to attempt it as my redemption! ive had months of reading about planking and watching wood ship model videos.. going to give it a proper go now. i will probably have something going on the "plastic bench" as well though.. i have a feeling its going to be such a different vibe. anyways , here she is.. the "ji nan type 051"a rather interesting subject in my opinion.

Fantastic work on the destroyer. I started that Swift years ago but haven't gotten back to it since. The masts seem a bit intimidating! I hope your build will inspire me to start it up again.

YES Scratch build a wooden hull is a bit of a job an will it sail or just static ? as ive built several big hulls from wood but i found that plankin required to much filler to make water tight so i done what i call a 1/32nd ply wrap round an that was a lot easyier but you sir have fun an i'll be followin your build
