A lot of hard work went into this build.

There were fit problems and seams that should have not been so large for the money I paid for this kit. $80.00!!! I also had to create both engine mounts since the engines did not fit correctly.

I rendered a aircraft flown in Europe in WWII that flew hospital missions and parachute troop droppings. Note the faded out invasion stripes on the fuselage and wings. However, my finished model turned out fantastically! What a beautiful rendition of the beautiful C-47 at work. A heavily flown and used C-47 Skytrain flown in WWII Europe.

Nice job and well done with your effort to overcome the hurdles. I'm sticking with my Monogram kit, but when done, this one looks like a C-47 and that's the best measure.

Nice job on the faded stripes! I did that on a recent build but they did not turn out as faded as I imagined. Next time.

Thanks for your response you guys!

Probably one of the hardest masking and painting parts of this model was the "White and Black" circle on the nose of the aircraft. A very irregular shape to mask correctly.

Holz44 ... Don't give up on the $80.00 kit! It just takes a lot of time and patience. I feel the end product looks very good.

Did you take a look at my link? It shows the full build and finished photos.

Thanks!

This is beautiful!
I built this kit as a kid, and loved it then, but your build has inspired me to maybe find another one and build it.....?
Well done!!
