Help Support Scale Model Addict:

I'm trying to clear out my in-progress kits (so I can break bags on new ones) by hitting the ones that were "close" to being finished. I posted above about the 1/32 Yak-3 and the broken canopy. The vacuform arrived yesterday, I'm finding it not too hard to work with so far, but still reserve the right to ruin it, I am good at that.

I smooshed some modeling clay in there to support it while I slowly scribed the cuts. It wasn't too hard, but easy to let the blade slip, you can just see a small one at 3:00 in the above.

Used the old Testors clear cement to adhere it, it is so thin and light it could blow off with ease, so I taped it lightly into place. Pushing myself to be patient, I'll let it sit there for maybe 24h before removing the tape. You can see the mess on the front windscreen, I'll need to adjust the paint there too. Hopefully it will be ready for stickers soon.

The second WIP I'm trying to wrap-up is the SU-57. It was going well until the first of the large stickers got silvering. This was many months ago, it has been sitting in the closet for a long time while I tried to figure out how to save that. I think the answer is I cannot without going Medieval, so I'll just keep going and finish as best I can.

Edit: The Russian theme is completely coincidental/accidental here.

Next on my bench is Lt E Royce Williams F9F-5 Panther in honor of the "Secret Dogfight".
It was nice that, after all these years, Lt Royce Williams was formally recognized with the Medal of Honor for his courageous achievement. Now he can talk about what he did back in Korea.
I look forward to following your Panther build.

It would be interesting to see how often medal "winners" operated outside of orders or directly disobeyed them.

Who is your spirit animal or assistant?

Note, I am theoretically working on the masks for a painted F4-thunderbird in the background, as a demanding pussy allows.

I'm currently working on a 1/6 Suzuki Katana, I'm using it as therapy from my recent knuckle replacement surgery so it's going slowly. I'll grab some pics later of what little progress I have

I switched from the Land Rover back to the Volkswagen for awhile.
One thing I really like about this diorama is that there are 4 different models involved. I get it now, how some of you guys can have multiple builds going on at once. I like the freedom to switch back and forth. Another interesting aspect to me is the models are all different makers, Tamiya, MPC, AMT, and Italeri. The figures are Master Box and Lazer Creation World.
