It looked like an aircraft museum, and the only one I know with a roof like that is IWM Duxford (Which isn't saying much, as I've not exactly been to every aircraft museum in the world …)

Somehow this just landed in my stash! I will be building it as VFA-41 Black Aces. My neighbor is US Navy Captain who once served with VFA-41, so may end up a special build for him.

That's a cracking build PM - I like the use of the SAS WWII figures. I'm glad to hear it's a fun kit. I have to say I've seen a few of these built up and I'm rather looking forward to it.

Since then I've only done one Navy jet, Hellcat/Dauntless/Wildcat do not count. But if there's enough people interested I say we do one.

Oooh, I built that one too around the same time, 1/72 Hasegawa I think. I'd love a do-over on that one. Might have to find one.

Possibly/probably the Revell kit, I built that too at the time. I learned much later that it represents a prototype, BTW.

I've got a lot of stuff in-progress so have been resisting the urge to break-bags on a new kit for a while. But if there's enough interest, sure!

Perhaps if we wait a month or so others can get one and have a bigger group?

Since I returned to the hobby ~20 months ago "Special Hobby" was new to me. I'm nearing completion on my 1st ever from them, and general opinion is positive. Mine is a Yak3.

I've still not completely finished mine, yeah I have a serious procrastination/distraction mental condition. I'm in on that one too, just because I have a head start doesn't mean I'll finish early!
