Is this your wife's idea? Are you sure she hasn't tricked you into building a child's kayak?

an here both parts of the hull have been sprayded with 10 coats of matt light grey an also prop shafts fitted an the 2 holes in the bow section are for a bow thruster fitted in as when this is on the water its will catch the wind so the bowthruster makes the ship more easy to controll

This is an amazing build! Do you have to add ballast? If so, how much?
HI Glenn yes i had to add ballast as when i first put her in the test tank which is a 8ft cattle trough with the cross bars cut off an she just sat on the wateres top as she had a hell of a lot of bouancy an if you look at the hull bottom you will see a half an inch of keel showin as this is where i fitted that ballast as i bought a 8ft lenght of mild steell half x half an an inch so that it could be fitted onto the keel by bolts an nuts an it dont look out of place when painted in red anti foul an plus two big batts to power her but i havnt bothered to weight the ballast as the true wheight was needed get her down to her water line which it did ok an when i get that far posting pics you will see her in the test tank as saves running up an down to NORWICH POND at eaton park where i have sailed her hope that answeres you questions an thank you sir for your question also

thanks for posting this ! love it. she is a true leviathan. question... so did you use 1:1 right off the plans or did you have to increase the scale with proportional dividers etc ?

HI Domer94 glad you are likeing the build pics of my big tiger still a lot more to come an regards size all i did was contact the plans service as they do this ship in normal 1/96 scale as my boaty m8 is building his an his is nr built but he's still got to fit all the eletronincs in it but im a lot done on my ship but back to the plans i told them i wanted the plans blown up to 1/72 scale to match my hms norfolk frigate an they did plans were a bit exspensive an the plan sheets are about 12ft long an when i got them i just build the model off the plans so no problem an it took about 3 to 4 yrs to finish her an get her sailing which you can see an i'll carry on posting the build pics if you all want me to ? as my wife jen helped me to build this ship
