My next build. And with that my stash is empty. I must buy. But not sure what. I have some ideas though.

Making some progress. I have to say for the price of the kit there's not much detail. Cockpit is pretty weak and the exhaust on the rear of the plane doesn't fit well at all.

In my limited experience, that's odd for Tamiya. Hope it's not an indicator of things to come, or things of the past (I have some old Tamiya in my stash)

BTW: I hope you recover from your terrible styrene deficiency soon!

I was surprised too especially since the kit was on the pricey side. The rear exhaust not sitting flush is sort of a problem. Not positive but I assume the real thing isn't like that

I was thinking putty it but it's such a big difference it is going to look stupid either way. Pretty disappointed.

I can't help but think something went wrong there. But trying to find out if other people also have this problem is proving fruitless, as all I find are sites selling replacement exhaust nozzles for this kit.

My first thought was I did something wrong, but I've gone back several times and it's nothing I did. Maybe I just got a bad kit.

You can try calling Tamiya customer service for a replacement part. I never have but I understand they are very responsive. The customer service number is on their website.

This is a FANTASTIC kit, with several variants. Tamiya was always 'good" but this one kinda set the bar.

I came close to ruining mine, but intend to at least try a resurrection.

After about 6-8 months of comiong back to the hobby, I was struggling with applying enamel/oil washes to acrylic paint. I figured it out evenetaully, but my Falcon was sorta the tipping point.

Here's the thread...

I don't intend on doing much weathering on mine. Going to do some post shading, a wash and probably call it done. I'm not good at weathering and no matter how many videos I watch I just don't get it. I'm better at weathering armor but even then I don't get carried away.
