Is that piece of PE from an aftermarket set for these kits, or just something from the spares bin? I built a 1/72 VF-1D years ago, and I don't remember there being any brass in it.

Some of the Hasegawa kits had photo etch aftermarket sets available.

ok its been a long month but its coming along now

just a few more days then should look better

Looks like a nasty seam along the leading edge of the wing there.
Paint's looking sharp, though

yes that needs to be fix just try out the paint first then going to work on that some sanding should work and a bit of putty and yes its a hasegawa kit import from japan so its been tricky but fun

It is such a nostalgia of my early childhood days when watching this your build..!
Coming along pretty nicely. There are some problematic spots to be fixed left, by overall You're doing a really good job with this fighter.
