And i`ll take that as one back...LOL ;D, on a serious note tho, when a build is painted and stuck on it`s base people say ooh thats nice, but when you actually see what goes on behind the scenes and long before the paint you realise just how much blood, sweat and tears get overlooked and how much dam hard work goes into it, like i say...........not a sci-fi type person but still appreciate time and effort when i see it buddy!! ;D

Small update today.
I took the masters out of the molds today with what look to be pretty good results.



Big test will come after the molds get a chance to sit a bit.

From the photos that looks like it came out of the mold pretty well. The scribed detail transferred nicely.

I'd say they came out awesome! I haven't got a chance to do any of my own molds yet, you make it look easy and the results speak for themselves. Waiting to see the finals! ;D

The molds came out nice.
Then came actually using them

Second update in one day....amazing for me.

Okay,
Fit the parts from the second kit's saucer into the molds for casting



Casting results:
Top turned out all right, just a couple of minor voids and short-shots on the angles


Bottom's got a couple of issues due to the kit part trying to push out of the mold, but can likely be cleaned up for use.
