More Aves work on the hull addition for the Odysseus twins.
Have the detail sections blocked un completely now on the top. Need to smooth this up and even it out, and then I can put in the final sections and begin scribing.
Bottom section is filled in and just needs to be smoothed down before I do the first batch of scribing
So far so good!
Looks like it's going to take lots of scribing on that rear sections.
Ah, and I thought I'm the only poor guy faced with the need of complete kit's panels re-scribing..))
Welcome to the company and good luck, bro
Okay, today's round of rough sanding is over, and we have some progress.
The top still need the front sections filled in, and needs some levelling in spots.
The bottom is, at this point, ready for me to start scribing.
Now, with that first sanding done, I went in and did some fill work on the top section.
The ends have been evened up a bit, the more serious divots in the top have been filled, and the last sections have been roughed in.
More sanding tomorrow, then I can likely start scribing panel lines
Thanks for the comment, it is starting to take shape isn't it? I have been watching this one from the beginning and I thought that you were building two different models here, not two halves of the same model. That turned out very well for what you did.
Hey Q. It's the first chance I've had to look over here at your builds. Cool. You're really pouring alot in to these conversions. Looking forward to seeing them when you're finished. Kind of reminds me of the old FASA ship designs...
JMac, FASA was the inspiration, way back in '92 when I first designed her.
And, Grendels, ScalemodelMadman? I 'am' building two ships. Just building a master for the hull with the first one so that I can make a silicon mold and cast the hull for the second one.
Just doing the mold for the hull addition in two halves is all.
Time for a new update.
Got some small touch ups done on the top piece.
Touched up along the edge of the port grill work with a new strip of Aves
Went in with the small grinder on my Dremel and cleaned up the line just below the bridge/ B-C deck module
And now, the mold work begins.
Boxes for the molds were done with your standard Lego building bricks, and the one for the lower hull was sectioned off with the addition of some modelling clay.
