hi guys,
This is what im trying to cook up at the moment, a tamiya swordfish with the bracing set.
A couple of pics of of my effort of the last couple of days.
All sub assembly's are done, some detail painting is next.
All comment is ( and I can use some ;D) welcome!!!
This is looking superb. What did you use for the wash and weathering in the panel lines and around them to get the nice brown look? It's really looking great - thanks for sharing!
Sorry, one more question - How did you like the Tamiya photo etch rigging? I've heard some people say they're a pain and refuse to stay tight - but yours are looking superb!
Yes they are a paint to work with (especially when you don't like PE... ).
It is hard to make them tight, i think the trick is to make the holes a little bit bigger ( with small drill bit), then what they call for on the drawing.
With that PE set they supply a little tool you're suppose to use to make the holes, but its a paint to work with.
I would use it again, it looks good in the end i think.
Ill take some more pics of the finished model later this week and post it.
