My only concerns is that anything less then perfect will be judged very hardly because of the Spits popularity.

Don't get caught in that trap. Do your best, finish and move forward. Perfect models don't exist...not on my shelf at least.

I was hoping to get my Photo etched items for the MK 1 today, but not going to happen so I will be adding NO extra items other then what was supplied in the box :-\ :'(.

This looks very nice! The plumbing looks really nice but what caught my eye at first was the effect produced by the wash. You've done a very nice job giving this some depth!

Cockpit almost done, I'm just wondering how much of it will actually be visible.

Nicely done. Are you planning to open up the side door, I hope so, otherwise it'll be difficult to see that paint and detail you're putting into the 'pit.
