That is a cool kit!

Lots of technical things wrong with it, common for that time, but I remember building it in the 70s. A buddy of mine wanted us to put together a squadron of them.

The first tank I remember building was the Monogram Screamin' Mimi (followed by the Hedge Hog) back in the mid 70's. Man, I'd love to have one of those again.

I believe the revell kit was a re-release of the monogram hedge hog kit. After I replied on here I went looking for it on eBay haha!

For that kind of money you can easily live with the mistakes, I would say Unlike Dragon's much more expensive one that is also far too narrow.

Primer down. I see a few spots/seams that need touchup.

I was leaning towards an Eastern Front camo job, but I'm kinda liking it just in gray. I'll do a bit more post shading next.

Okay, even though I was pleased with it just being gray, I've never freehanded airbrush camo so I figured I'd bite the bullet and give it a try, no time like the present to learn something new. The green came out broader than I wanted (used a 0.5 needle) so I went back with the gray to tighten it up a bit. It also wasn't as much of a contrast as I'd like, but I can live with it.

I've heard some negative reviews on this kit but it looks like it's building up pretty dang good to me here with your build Tom. Free handed camo looks great man.

That's because it was good for its day but has been far superseded by every other Sd.Kfz. 251 kit that's come out since. Also, it's about 3 mm too narrow, IIRC — a mistake that Dragon somehow copied on their kits.

Yeah, I swiped several from my daughters. They're the perfect size.

Nice work on that: super finish on those seats, and dusty weathering turned out great.

...LOL, after the war, the guy who designed those insignia went on to doing international airport signage!

That turned out pretty dang good for a 3 buck find @Tommergun . Good paint work and subtle weathering on this. I only hope that mine turns out half that good when it's my turn to build one of these.
