Hello to all

Here is a project I just started, it is the renovation of an SSD that I do for a collector.

The first step was the complete disassembly and a bath of Glanzer to strip paint

before bath

after bath

Then I started to drill the holes for the fiber

Re: SSD Korbanth 38"

Dear lord this is going to be amazing. Good call with the strip LEDs....

Re: SSD Korbanth 38"

Yeah I think it was this one and Ravenstar Models who had one....though it's entirely possible they're from the same master. Catalyst Creations now carries it over @ SSM. (though if you're interested in one...lmk)

Just went over and looked, yep they do carry it.

Boom goes the dynamite, this is amazing! Had no clue this kit existed.

Re: SSD Korbanth 38"

I am looking into this kit! I was told that its made of fiberglass instead of resin?

Re: SSD Korbanth 38"

Ok, thanks DJSLY74! I hope the new one is indeed, fiberglass!

I think what you doing is going to be sweet! I only seen one of this kit lighted so far!

I will look forward to your progress on this ship!
