Hey guys,

It's been a while. I started a couple of builds but lost interest very quickly, so they've been shelved. Except the speeder bike (MPC 1983). I had main body assembled (big thanks to Norm Lajoie's youtube vids! http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqnGMp4KRhLC2Lf74MxRUoQ) for a while and finally started to mess with painting, my first ever airbrush attempt, including the hairspray chipping technique (I know, I got carried away there). So this is what I have sofar. I will want to set this bike in a lush jungle like diorama. And as I love to do stuff with lights, I'm thinking of placing let's say 50 glow worms in the vegetation, in the form of fibers with green light. As the speeder bike has no lighting as far as I know, I would like some sort of contrast, a red light somewhere, maybe that big red button on the control panel. Not sure yet. Oh and the trooper will be modified (this is the hardest part I'm guessing) to be aiming his blaster to the rear (as in the Sideshow Collectibles version).

front of the bike seems bent, it's cause its not glued yet to main body

Hey all,

I'm working on the handle bars and cables. There's two different sizes (thickness) of cables in the photos, the thinner one is the one on the bike installed at the moment, haven't decided yet which to use. It's guitar string, very springy, not what Norm Lajoie uses (hollow springs with a metal wire inserted). For the rest still following Norm Lajoie's Youtube instructions but added a brass tube on the bike body where the cable goes through the front body cause it shows in reference (From Star Wars To Indiana Jones book). The handles are movable to adjust the position later when the scout will sit in it's final place.

Hey guys

I'm almost done with the bike, many parts that still need to go on have to wait till I wrestle mr. biker scout into an acceptable form so I can fit his hands and legs to the bike.

Looking cool. Nice chipping and scratches. Yeah - that figure is a total dud but it's workable.
