I want to start lighting up my models and so I need a soldering iron. I would prefer to just buy a soldering station. Can anyone recommend a decent one for say, under $100? Or, what should I look for when purchasing one? I'm completely new to this. Any help would be much appreciated ;D

All you will ever need is something like this:

Nothing better than a Weller, and something that you can control the temperature on is what you want.

Awesome! Thanks man that is actually one of the ones I was looking at.

Agreed, Weller stations are the way to go. I've got a weller WES51 analog solder station. It has a bunch of features that I'll probably never need.

I bought one off of Amazon.com and I am very happy with it. This is what I actually bought:

The weller station is cheaper. But this station I bought heats up in under 10 seconds. and came with many interchangeable tips. I really read through a lot of different customer reviews before I bought one.
